Cat Fight in a Pet Store: J2EE vs. .NET
Subject:   Why doesn't Sun implement a new Pet Store?

Thanks for your article Mr.Wampler, i found it objective enough.

I want to ask something. We understood that Sun did not implement Pet Store for performance, they did it for teaching.

But now, it is the time. Why doesn't Sun implement a new Pet Store for performance? And forget about the hardware differences. If Microsoft could compare, Sun can do. Sun can implement it for Oracle, for example. It doesn't support multiple databases. If that is the matter, Sun must use Oracle stored procedures.
Why they don't do anything?
