An Introduction to OOP in Flash and Actionscript, Part 1, by Joey Lot
As a designer migrating from print to Flash, I have had to buy a lot of books to understand change from Flash5 to Flash6. After reading them, I was a little nervous that Macromedia was going to turn Flash into a tool that could only be used by programmers. But after reading Joey Lott's first article on OOP, for the first time I only squirmed once, and that was at the word "instantiating." The rest of made perfect sense. I got it! The part about programmatically creating an object made the lightbulb finally turn on. Mr. Lott is an excellent teacher. I am looking forward to the next installment.
