||The PHP Scalability Myth|
|Subject:||Is scalability related to pay rates?|
Some of the replies here that claim PHP can scale as well as J2EE seem to be a bit peeved about not getting paid as much as J2EE consultants.
Do employers think that J2EE is a more complicated technology that deserves better pay rates?
Or is it just a matter of supply and demand - ie too many PHP developers that can do a decent job on simple websites, and not many J2EE people who are needed for projects claim to require (legitimately or not) scalability and reliability?
