Hey Greg,


Here's a line from Apple's Objective-C book:


"Separating allocation from initilization gives you individual control over each step so that each can be modified independently of the other."


I don't think there would be too much room for error for a programmer as long as he remembers to do the two steps. There isn't much room for variation in the alloc/init procedure it seems. For Class developer's though, this might come in handy to have this livele of control. This probably didn't help much, but i thought i'd let you know what i read from the Mouth.
