  SVG On the Rise
Subject:   SVG and Apple's Safari

Great article! I am referring it to my students in a class where we are teaching SVG as an alternative to Flash. What I am concerned about is Apple's Safari browser not supporting scripting in SVG. I attempted to show some SVG examples from the Adobe SVG site to my students while using Safari ... although Adobe notes on there site that the interactivity will not work in Mac IE, they do not address Safari as a browser. All the graphics displayed well, much of the the interactivity did not function. I heard rumors that Apple plans on integrating SVG into the Safari engine in the next implementation of the browser; I just hope that is true for SVG's sake.
