WWDC Controversy Am I the only person sick of it? Everywhere I go on the Mac web, I find articles about Apple's announcement of Dashboard, a "semi-transparent layer that zooms across your Desktop with a single button click, similar to the way Exposé works." Lots and lots and lots and lots of people are grousing about how similar this is to Konfabulator, a "JavaScript runtime engine for Mac OS X that lets you run little files called Widgets that can do pretty much whatever you want them to." This is silly for more reasons than I can count, which makes it doubly lucky for lazy old me that John Gruber has already cleared the issue up nicely. The long and short of it is that saying that Apple is in the wrong here is accusing them of the crime of making a better product. In Lifeline, Robert Heinlein's inventor, Pinero,...
