Sorry if I was unclear! :-(


While the issue you are referring to is new to me, I was thinking that maybe there was an application or a utility installed on your computer that could have altered the files. Should it be the case, looking at the software in itself should provide you clues about what might have changed.


You may also want to go through the files you edited in order to setup your server and client and to make sure that all the appropriate authentication modes are turned on.


Finally, should this happen on a particular network or after having installed a specific firewall, you may want to make sure that nothing located between the two computers could prevent the data from being transmitted normally.
