The same argument about people "not being able to play on linux" applies to region coding.

All DVD's are authorized for personal use in a specific location on earth.

DVD players superficially comply with this (and many have cheat codes to switch regions.)

Did the same camp that fights on behalf of DeCSS and Napsterness today protest when DVD region coding first happened?
