More shenanigans. Rotor is a trap. I'd stay away from it... a true researcher is better off with truly free software. A commercial developer is better off not getting stuck in the blades of rotor if a competitive project threatened Microsoft in any way. Big companies do not have to be "right", they just have to have a reasonably sized patent portfolio and a reasonably sized budget for lawyers.
What's the point? I can only see one-way information flow in this "shared" source. "We'll share our source with you, but you can't use the good ideas competitively. But feel free to work your own good ideas back into our code!"
