  Using DesktopBSD
Subject:   DesktopBSD and similars

I recently tried DesktopBSD, PC-BSD, and FreeBSD 6.1. Unfortunately none of them fully recognizes my hardware (Asus P5LD2 Deluxe, etc.) and so it is impossible to use them.
Also Knoppix 5 does so, but Slax (a 196 MB cd live) perfectly recognize it (as Fedora 5, Suse 10.1, Mandriva, Ubuntu, etc.).
Moreover, speaking frankly, I would say that install wizard of FreeBSD is deliberately difficult to understand, and not prone to think people (not my case) understand nothing of it.
Is FreeBSD an elitist OS?
Best Regards.
