Songbird

Songbird is a client-side application specifically designed to work within the existing Napster network. Songbird is the latest offering of Media Enforcer LLC. Songbird is freely-available for download and also offers several artist-related features, such as enabling an artist to receive a "snapshot" of a song's popularity on the network. A recent Wired News article felt that the most useful of the program's features was its ability to create an Excel file of user names and files (although IP addresses are not provided). The Songbird FAQ claims the program is able to work effectively with many common song title variations (such as Aimster's Pig Encoder, etc.).
