Articles on Oracle
by Jonathan Gennick
Every month I write an article on some facet of Oracle technologies and send
it out to an email list. This month it occurred to me to post a link to my current
article here as well. It's an article on a new type of join implemented in Oracle
Database 10g. The new join and its syntax are actually slated to make
it into the next ANSI SQL standard following SQL:2003. You can read the article
by clicking the following link:
Past articles, if you're interested, include the following:
1 May 2003: Getting Creative With SQL*Loader
1-Jun-2003: A Case Study in Performance-Tuning
1-Jul-2003: Understanding the WITH Clause
1-Aug-2003: Is Yours A UNION Shop?
1-Sep-2003: Finding Flight Legs (the corrected version)
The article on the WITH clause is one of my favorites. Much of that one actually
centers around DB2 and not Oracle.
