Sometime in the next few days, the third book in O'Reilly's Head First series will hit the shelves. I've spent quite a few insanely-early-morning hours as one of several technical reviewers of this book. Consequently, I feel qualified to say that Kathy and Bert (along with new co-author Bryan Basham) have another winner on their hands.
Like the first two books in the series, HF Servlets and JSP has that rare quality of actually being fun to read. I know, it's a crazy concept for a geek book, but it's true. If you haven't read any of the HF books, be sure to check out sample pages from the first one here and here. Head First books manage to make learning complex material interesting, fun, and easy without "dumbing down" the subject matter. The Servlets/JSP book is no different. Going beyond the APIs, this book will really help you understand how servlets and JSPs work.
Oh, and if you're into the whole Sun Certification scene, the book is also designed to serve as a study guide for the SCWCD exam. Full of sample questions, the book will teach you everything you need to know to pass the exam.
