Logitech Deluxe Webcam Confusion Deluxe

Looking for an iSight replacement? iChat supports some USB cams in 10.4.9, but it's not easy to find the right ones.

Oh, I forgot my Logitech headsets (two of 'em, also for use on the PS2) and my Karaoke Revolution hand-held USB mic.

Macally IceCams aren't that rare; but the iMic is made by Griffin, not by Macally.

Too bad you missed Creative's line of Optia Cameras. They are listed clearly as UVC supported and they will work right out of the box without drivers!

Logitech might try putting "UVC COMPLIANT" on the package until they get around to FIRING thier product-naming & marketing director! :) It seems the only Logitech camera you can safely buy is thier 9000 model, a single product code and it's UVC inside. I set up a site to help sort this UVC webcam mess out:

I have an iMac. When I bought it, 3 months later Apple came out with the new model with iSight in it. So, what webcam do you recommend that I should get. I went to the Apple store and they have Logitech Quickcam Vision MP for a hefty $130.
