Microsoft Surface: Not Coming to a Home Near You

Much of the criticism of the new Microsoft Surface computing table is misguided, for one simple reason: It's intended to be used in commercial settings, not at home. Why, after all, would you want one of these things in your living room?

The "future" section on their web site indicates "home" uses. Presumably when they get the cost down.

I think it would be a great idea for the home. A smart home would interact with this device and give you full control of your home from your spot on the couch. Lights, Heating, Cooling, Music. So yes, if available, I would get one for my home.
