As a gentle reminder, Early Bird registration for OSCON 2004 ends next week
on 18 June. You'll save a couple of hundred dollars if you can register before
the deadline.

Since the previous paragraph is dangerously close to marketing information,
I'll drop a very solid hint that staying in Portland for a day or two after
OSCON may be very valuable. I have it on good authority that we have some space
and wireless networking away from the hotel on Saturday, 31 July, for developer
sprints. Since so many projects will have people all in one place, consider
spending an extra night or two in Portland and an afternoon hacking some code
together.

Finally, if you're inclined to show up for the whole week (or if you can
convince your employer to invest an extra bit of money on training), the
following tutorials still have spaces open:

  • David Sklar's href="http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5064">Learning
    PHP

  • Marty Pauley's

    Playing Together

  • Elein Mustain's href="http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5035">Introduction
    to PostgreSQL

  • Joseph Conway's href="http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5134">Power
PostgreSQL: Extending the Database with C

  • Shashank Date's and Daniel Berger's href="http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5205">Ruby on
    Windows

  • Chad
    Fowler's and David Alan Black's
Colloquial Ruby - How to Speak Ruby Like a Native

  • Geoff Young's href="http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5082">Programming
    the Apache Lifecycle

  • Stuart Cheshire's href="http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5526">Cross-Platform

There are still seats available in other tutorials too, but they're filling
up fast.

See you next month!

Oh yeah, that author book signing is also fun....
