Actually, I think Builder predates rails. DHH just packaged it up with rails releases.

The biggest problem with builder: XmlBuilder?? WTF. It should be XMLBuilder. Go back to Java, loser.

I don't think builder was started as a rails spin-off. IIRC it was inspired from GroovyMarkup and .rxml views where added to rails quite a bit of time later.

I think that it may depend on the organization of this page, having the post form *on top* of actual comments gives the impression that nobody posted yet. Sorry for my dumbness :)
